Access Cost

Associated costs of Competitive Open Access (COA) requests

This access can be done at any time by using the application portal.
Acceptance of this request is carried out as set out in the annual calls plan.

The Applicant always assumes 100% of the cost of the consumables necessary for the performance of the associated experiments (gases, consumables, animal maintenance, precursors, reagents, etc.)

This cost is established by each Node by sending the corresponding budget.

Each ReDIB Node has specialist personnel for the synthesis and production of radiotracers and the handling of image acquisition and analysis equipment (MRI, PET, SPECT, CT) with a limited capacity.

ReDIB assumes 20% of its capacity (personnel and equipment) free of charge for each AAC call and Node, provided that the AAC Application has been approved.

The Applicant assumes to pay the personnel and equipment costs exceeding 20% of the capacity offered by ReDIB.

When the Apliccant exceeds the capacity available free of charge, the Applicant may:

  • Assume the remaining cost of the use of equipment and personnel necessary for the realization of the Request.
  • Request partial performance of the experiment
  • Make a new Request
  • Assume the access on demand by paying 100 % of all associated costs

Costs associated with Access on Demand (AoD) requests

This access can be done at any time by using the request portal.

The Applicant assumes 100% of the cost of making the Request: cost of the use of equipment, cost of associated personnel, gases, consumables, animal maintenance, precursors, reagents, etc.

This cost is established by each Node by sending the corresponding budget.

The costs are calculated on the basis of the specific rates published in the Rates section.

Preparation of the quotation

Upon acceptance of the proposal, the Requesting Personnel will be provided with the estimated costs and expected execution dates.

Written acceptance of the corresponding budget and/or service agreement by the Applicant Staff will be required prior to the start of the experimental work.

Eligible Costs in National Calls for Proposals

It is reported that certain national calls consider as eligible costs the contracting of the ReDIB ICTS network nodes provided that such applications formally express the intention to use the ICTS.

It is strongly recommended to request a budget in order not to underestimate the experimental costs by contacting:

It is not necessary to request a call for proposals in COA in order to complete this procedure.
The information contained on the website is informative: the rules of access and cost are described in the corresponding procedures, available in the Documentation section.
